Vintage Seiko Chronos Watch 5H23-7D40 1989 Quartz Suwa Kanji Montre Uhr Reloj Watch. Another beautiful Vintage Seiko Chronos Quartz Watch Reference 5H23-7D40 from 1989. This is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market Model) with Kanji/English day display. A really nice, vintage model for not much money in a steel case. Watch comes on the original Seiko watch strap.
This concerns model SBMF013 from the 1990 Seiko catalogue, which cost 14,300 YEN at the time. Watch was produced in the Suwa factory, as can be seen by the Suwa swirl at 6 o'clock.
Watch was fitted with a new battery in April 2024 and works great, both setting time and quick-setting the day and date. The watch, case and strap have been ultrasonically cleaned and are therefore completely neat again. This watch is still in very nice, but worn, condition.
