Vintage Seiko QT 0823-7000 SGP Roman Dial 1975 Quartz Watch
This is one we don't have for sale often at all, The Seiko QT 0823-7000 with an exquisite dial with as base a snowflake-esque pattern and black roman numerals as hour indices. The applied gold 'Single Quartz' and 'Seiko' brand name logo are a nice touch on top and add depth to the dial, just as the bevelled day-date window.
The Seiko QT series was the highest range of quartz watches in 1975, with the 0823 being the second generation derived from the early 38X calibers. They only came in expensive watches for a couple of years, roughly from 1974 till 1978.
The movement is looking very clean for it's age and the watch received a fresh battery. Setting the time is smooth, just as using the crown to quickset the day and date. The SGP Layer has detoriated on a few spots, luckily mainly on the back of the case!
This specific variant does not seem to have made an appearance in a vintage catalog, but I can guarantee based on this example, and others exactly like this, that this was a genuine released wristwatch from the Daini Factory in 1975.
