Vintage Seiko Spirit 7N43-7180 "Snowflake" 2008 Watch
Seiko remained remarkable in the 1990s, especially for their dial designs, which were simply outstanding.
This vintage Seiko watch, featuring a stunning "snowflake" dial, is a great example.
It's the reference 7N43-7180, a JDM (Japan Domestic Market) model from 2008. When the 7N48 stopped production the 7N48-7000 snowflake did too, but because of it's popularity was basically revived 1:1 with the upgraded movement
Specifically, it's the SCDC001 from the 2007 catalog, originally priced at 20,000 Yen. The watch is rated for 5 ATM water resistance, though I wouldnāt recommend using it for swimming or diving, given its age.
A new battery was installed in September 2024, and both the watch, case, and strap have been ultrasonically cleaned, making it as good as new.
The time adjusts smoothly, and the quick-set function for the day and date works perfectly via the crown.
The case and crystal are in good condition but I don't know what happend to the bracelet! The last owner butchered it! Is is not tight and heavily worn. I have slightly polished the links and completely refinished the clasp.
